400 Seeds
Sow March - May & Sept - Oct.
Hardy perennial.
Height 10cm (4in), spread 45cm (18in).
Prefers a light, dry well-drained soil in a sunny position or light shade.
Sow in spring or early autumn where the plants are to grow, ideally in sun or light shade. Prepare the soil as for lawn grass. Mix the tiny seeds with sand to aid even spreading, broadcast and water well. Sow in seed trays and transplant the seedlings 10cm apart.
Chamomile Lawn is very similar to ordinary chamomile but its plants have a more spreading habit and are much more scented. It gives off the most beautiful aroma when crushed underfoot. Sow in seed trays and transplant the seedlings 10cm apart. Once established, cut regularly but not too short.
This plant has flowers that are similar to daises but smaller. The solid, solitary central disk is deep yellow and the rays are silver white to cream. The flowers appear at the end of downy stems, often in pairs. The apple scented leaves are alternate and divided into threadlike segments covered with feathery fuzz. The tiny seed is beige and narrow. Grow near onions, cabbages and wheat as it is said to repel flying insects and increase crop. Grow near any failing plant to revive it.
